METAMORPHOSIS was a collection of artworks and projects from students of the 2024-2025 thesis cohort in the New Media program. It brought together a diverse range of pieces, offering a glimpse into a moment of artistic and technological variability, where change is both a process and a constant. This moment marked the beginning of something new – a chance to celebrate how far we’ve come and envision where we’re headed. META as an ode to our program’s past, MORPHOSIS as a nod to new beginnings.
The show ran for a week and a half long in a repurposed storefront (406 Roncesvalles Avenue) from April 16th-25th, 2025. We held an opening night reception, gallery tours for highschoolers, an artist talk panel, a separate listening party for one of the pieces, and regular viewing hours all week from 12-6pm. The show was a major success, with the reception bringing in well over 300+ attendees and following events drawing in 200+ more.
I took on several roles, the main being the Lead Curator, meaning I focused on the exhibition design, floor plans, artist coordination, organized separate events, and writing curatorial thematics. Additionally, I delegated tasks, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met. I also worked as a Finance Coordinator (in which I aided with the master budget and secured 11k in student funding and grants) and Social Media Director (handling posts related to outreach online).
