PLACE-MAKING, 2023.

PLACE-MAKING is an exhibition showcasing works from emerging New Media artists from the RTA 501: Studio Practice – Winter 2023 class. The works are a careful exploration of liminality, familiar and unfamiliar spaces within contexts of memory and repetition. Within these spaces, we see nature unfold and healing happen; where we come together to build, discover the sanctity of early morning hours, cover and decorate, or sometimes just watch time spin in circles. In merging art and technology as a form of storytelling, we invite you to interact and experience these sites where the world feels filled with meaning.

This show featured 6 artists and was held in the Assembly Gallery from September 27th to October 6th, 2023.

I worked as the lead exhibition director for this showcase. I gave directions to a team of 12 people, set up the space, communicated with the gallery and ensured deadlines were met.
