SCRATCHING [into], 2024.

SCRATCHING [into] serves as the inaugural new media art exhibition showcasing the expansive disciplines and interests of current new media artists across all years of study. Here, the act of the attempt, experimentation, bringing the body and mind into material spills into many of the works displayed. To scratch is to bleed over: marking what is brought from environment, circumstance and [repeated] impulse. With experimentation of form and technique, the works break out and reach into one another, parallel to the community found within students in the program – people who create among / next to / because of people.

This exhibit featured 17 works and was held in the POD Student Gallery from March 20th – 28th 2025.

I worked as the lead exhibition director for this showcase. I gave directions to a team of 12 people, selected the artworks that would be presented, created floor plans so that the pieces had dialogue with each other, set up the space, communicated with the gallery and ensured deadlines were met. The show was a resounding success, with a total of 660+ attendees.
