WEAVED/WIRED: Towards, Despite, 2024.

We do what we think we have to. We do what we can. The condition of the kinetic, electronic and interactive new media works crafted by the students of RTA321: Intro to Tangible Media take shape within this situation of effort and uncertainty. These pieces exhaust themselves—moving towards mess and impermanence, aching to find a foothold. Despite their inherent instability, the works create points of contact and emotional engagement with their audience as they explore themes of miscommunication, the redundancy of mechanical processes, and the loneliness of the loveless and forlorn.

Returning for its second year, WEAVED/WIRED is an annual new media exhibition celebrating tangible art, interactivity, and community. Featuring 8 artists and held within the Assembly Gallery from February 6th-15th, 2024.

I worked as the lead exhibition director for this showcase. I gave directions to a team of 12 people, set up the space, communicated with the gallery and ensured deadlines were met. This exhibit was co-curated alongside Steve Daniels.
